Frequently Asked Questions - Continued
How long does the procedure take?
This can vary according to whichever procedure is being carried out,
but generally 2 to 3 hours is allocated
for each appointment, allowing plenty
of time for consideration of personal preferences regarding shape and colour.
Will the procedure hurt?
Every precaution is taken to minimise discomfort for the client. To help with this topical anaesthetics are applied before and during the procedure.
Depending on individual pain thresholds/procedures performed, some clients
report a prickly/scratchy sensation and others feel hardly anything at all.
What choice of colour do I have?
Using a variety of basic pigment shades, colours can be blended for each
individual in order to compliment, skin tones, hair and eye colour.
With careful design, features can be enhanced and defined creating natural
looking appearances. Alternatively for clients who wish to have a more
definitive colour different combinations can be mixed. The colours can also be
changed at any time by blending another colour over the original if desired.
Skin Tone Info
How will I look after the procedure?
Immediately after and for the first few days the colour will appear considerably
darker and some clients may experience slight swelling or redness, but this will
subside over the next 2-48 hours. Most normal activities can be resumed
immediately after procedure.
What is the healing period like?
On the second day following procedure, a light crust will form which will
feel dry to the touch. During this time the pigment area may look darker
than
the colour you decided on. Over the next few days this crust will flake
off and is common for the colour to lighten by up to 30%.
Can I wear conventional makeup over my permanent cosmetics?
Permanent cosmetics are designed to be an enhancement of your natural features,
but once the procedure site has healed you can always add conventional make
up for extra definition for that special occasion.
